Blood sugar and a 1 Ingredient Recipe lol

Happy Wednesday! Today is day 7 of my Carnivore experiment. I’ll stop talking about what day it is soon I’m sure 😉 I’m not even sure where it will go, but I feel fantastic and I’m not past the adaptation period that kinda sucked, so why stop? On that topic, NOW I get what the Keto flu thing is about I think. I didn’t have that at all when I transitioned from Paleo to Keto and I have no idea why I had it now, but my sympathies will be greater for others in the future. 💕

This will probably sound totally lame, but one of the very few things I DON’T like about this is I LOVE taking pictures of food (ask my wife!) and it’s really challenging to make a plate of meat look pretty 😜 I also don’t get to share amazing recipes or be creative cause who’s going to look at my site if I pitch you Tasty Crockpot Pork. Ingredients- 1 pork shoulde. Directions- put in crockpot, turn on. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is kind of interesting… last Wednesday I went for blood work for my functional medicine doctor (if you have metabolic or autoimmune issues, find one of these!!) My fasting glucose was 4.5 and my A1C was 5.4 which freaks me out a little since I had been following Keto for almost 2 years, my grandfather had diabetes, and I’ve heard it skips a generation 😳 Today I had lunch, waited about 15-20 minutes and tested my glucose (for fun, cause I’m weird like that) and got a reading of 4.0 👍 I can’t be certain, but 6 1/2 days of a very low glycemic load diet probably had something to do with it 😉

Last note, I’ve rambled enough. Ever heard of a healing crisis? I’ll touch on that tomorrow! 😊
